Dear Android Linux,
Yesterday I bought my first bonsai tree, of “carmona macrophylla” species. I know it needs a lot of patience and knowledge about the ancient art of bonsai but I am willing to learn it. Bonsai Art, is not about the tree but it’s about your inner self. It doesn’t matter what kind of tree is that you are using but it’s the art that makes it bonsai. As Li Po ones said:
You ask me why I dwell in the green
I smile and make no reply for my heart is
free of care.
As the peach blossom which flows
downstream and is gone into the unknown,
I have a world apart that is not among men.”
— Li Po
Carmona is a genus of flowering plants in the borage family, Boraginaceae. Members of the genus are commonly known as Scorpionbush.
Fukien Tea Tree (C. retusa) is used in bonsai because of its ability to develop a thick and interesting trunk, small white flowers that bloom almost year round, and tiny round green, red, or black fruits. The lobed leaves are shiny dark green and maintain their small size.
It will be a long and interesting journey for me and my bonsai tree… I have a lot to learn from it…
